Remains to Be Seen - After the Gold

2026 ~ ongoing

Remains to Be Seen developed through repeated visits to landscapes in the Central Victorian Goldfields, on Dja Dja Wurrung Country, including Leanganook (Mount Alexander) following the 2026 bushfires and nearby sites marked by historic gold mining. The work considers what remains visible in a landscape after disturbance, what disappears over time, and how knowing something of a place’s past can change the way it is seen.
