Remains to Be Seen - Leanganook After the Fires

Leanganook After the Fires developed through repeated visits to Leanganook (Mount Alexander), on Dja Dja Wurrung Country, following the January 2026 bushfires. The photographs trace a landscape altered by fire and the gradual return of vegetation in the months that followed. Using infrared photography, the work draws attention to living growth within the burnt landscape, asking what becomes visible as a place begins to change again.
